Description



Under the supervision and direction of the GCS Director of Health Services, the Coordinator – School-Based Telehealth Programs manages the development, implementation, and coordination of school-based telehealth projects. The coordinator also serves as a liaison with representatives from school-based telehealth partners to include but not limited to Cone Health, The Guilford Education Alliance, and the Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services – Public Health Department.

The Coordinator – School-Based Telehealth Programs is the key contributor to the telehealth program and supports both services offerings and implementation of the programs within GCS. The coordinator will maintain and communicate the data driven process as it improves the health and academic success of students. The coordinator will work collaboratively with leaders, front-line staff, and stakeholders to build and maintain the School-Based Telehealth program.


Major Responsibilities:

o   Contribute and interact as a team member in the development, growth, and sustainability of the telehealth program within GCS.

o   Maintain knowledge and trends in comprehensive school health programs, clinic procedures/requirements, digital health, and related topics.

o   Efficiently plan and facilitate meetings of varied participants with the Cone Health Project/Operations Manager.

o   Coordinate and track key programmatic elements.

o   Gather, organize, and manage project information including schedules, data requests, assignments, and tasks.

o   Plans, organizes, and facilitates team meetings as needed.

o   Coordinates resources for the efficient execution of program.

o   Monitors program progress to analyze the impact of telehealth in schools and for students, parents, and the community.

o   Provide regular updates to GCS H Director of Health Services and Chief of Exceptional Children and Student Services.

o   Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures, requirements, and legalities within school health and related programs.

o   Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties / vendors.

o   Develops, implements and manages a collaborative document control/information management system to organize and track project documents, communication, activities and progress. 

o   Responsible for the successful implementation and management of Telehealth care with standards, protocols, guidelines, policies, and procedures.

o   Keeps staff informed by interpreting and communicating telehealth rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

o   Perform other duties as assigned, understanding the role will evolve as the program matures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor's degree in public health, business administration, Management, Healthcare, or related field.

Preferred: Master's Degree.

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years healthcare related project management/coordination. 

Position requires routine daily travel so applicant must have a car, a valid NC driver’s license and the ability to participate in limited overnight travel for conferences.
