Company Overview
Founded in 1786, Friends Seminary, the oldest continually operating coeducational, independent school in New York City.
For the 2012-2013 school year, 753 students are enrolled in three divisions spanning kindergarten and grade 12. The School has a long-standing commitment to educating a diverse student population–approximately 24 percent of our students receive need-based financial assistance totaling $4.1 million and 27 percent of the student body are students of color.
As our mission states we are “Guided by the ideals of integrity, peace, equality and simplicity, and by our commitment to diversity, we do more than prepare students for the world that is: we help them bring about the world that ought to be.” The School employs 97 teachers and 62 administrative and support staff.
